2024 Jazz Summit,
Staplin Performing Arts Center
This year's Valley Vocal Jazz Summit will be held January 25th and 26th in the Staplin Performing Arts Center, Valley High School. Student groups will perform during the day and will receive on-stage clinics from our guest clinicians. Thursday evening will feature a concert, opening with students and concluding with a performance by Kathryn Sherman and Daniel Gregerman. Tickets are good for all day and evening and will be $10 for adults and $5 for students. You may purchase through Midwestix https://tickets.midwestix.com/events/20461or in person with cash or check made to Valley Vocal Music.
Adults attending during school hours are required to complete a security check when arriving. Please have a driver's license ready and come 20 minutes early unless you filled out the pre-screening form prior to 1/24/24 linked here: https://forms.gle/afHmsf5jVjWG2vkw7
Parking during the day may be limited, please plan ahead and carpool if possible. There will be plenty of parking in the Performing Arts Lot after 2:00 pm. Between 8 and 2, we suggest parking at the Valley West Mall and carpooling back to the school. There is NOT a shuttle available for this event. You will likely find parking on the south east side of the building near the softball fields. Do not park in numbered spots, they are for staff.
Busses may drop students off at the Performing Arts Center doors on the east side of the school. Busses should plan to park at Valley West Mall. We will have a parent shuttle bus drivers only, from the mall to the school if they would prefer to come back and watch. Please email Heather Nail at nailhe@wdmcs if you would like to use this shuttle to make arrangements by WEDNESDAY January 24th at NOON.
Groups performing with a lunch break are encouraged to visit Valley West Mall or nearby establishments for food. We will not have lunch options available during the day at the school. Limited snack options will be sold in the performing arts lobby during the day, cash only.
